By Securities Docket on June 2, 2016, 7:54 am

Congress opened up an investigation Wednesday into how hackers tricked the Federal Reserve Bank of New York into handing over $81 million of the Bangladesh central bank’s money in one of the biggest cyber thefts ever.

Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas), chair of the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology, sent a letter to New York Fed President Bill Dudley requesting information about the successful February hack by June 4.
