Duff & Phelps Reunites With Former Owners Through $4.2 Billion Deal – WSJ

Duff & Phelps has been for years using acquisitions to expand into new regions and services. For example, Duff & Phelps’s acquisition of Kroll Inc. in 2018 greatly strengthened the firm’s business intelligence and investigations group as well as its cybersecurity services.

“We weren’t purely in those businesses before,” Mr. Gottdiener said. “Now we firmly are and they are very complementary to the things that we were doing before.”
